It is the second year in succession that the Siemer family has been ranked with a gold certificate.
Last year, Rafael's brother Gabriel, then in Year 1, earned a coveted gold certificate in his division.
The brothers live on a property 40 kilometres south-west of Walgett and attend the Bourke-Walgett School of Distance Education and their home supervisor is his mother Casey Marshall-Siemer.
WriteOn presents entrants with the opportunity to be published authors.
