Western NSW Primary Health Network chief executive officer Andrew Harvey is urging families to play it safe.
"While I expect that a lot of families will be taking the opportunity to travel and explore during the holidays, we still wholeheartedly encourage everyone to continue to practise safe social-distancing, proper hand washing and hygiene, and to remember to use their elbow or a tissue for coughs and sneezes," he said.

"Everyone, from our medical and healthcare professionals through to businesses, families and individuals, have done a wonderful job in doing their bit to ensure the health and safety of themselves and others to this point.
"But as the region's two recent cases show, we cannot afford to become complacent."
Mr Harvey is also encouraging testing for people with "respiratory complaints" and self-isolation while they wait for results.
