The RFDS Visitor Experience has been recognised as a Travellers' Choice Best of the Best award winner 2020 for tourist attractions on Tripadvisor, and has ranked number one out of the top 21 things to do when visiting Dubbo. Winners are selected following a years worth of reviews on Tripadvisor from tourists.
RFDS head of tourism John Larkin said to receive this award one year after opening is an honour.
"We have worked hard to make this Visitor Experience one of a kind, and we are thrilled that travellers are rating it so highly," Mr Larkin said.
"We thank all our volunteers and our passionate team for making this dream a reality.
"We're proud to bring the rich history and extensive footprint of the RFDS to life for our visitors"
Not only is the attraction in its infancy, but it surpassed the challenges implemented during a pandemic and heavy COVID-19 restrictions on international and interstate travelling.
Tripadvisor chief commercial officer Kanika Soni said award winners are beloved for their exceptional service and quality.
