After more than 3.5 years of growing his hair for charity, Dubbo's Mitchell Glynn finally has a finish line in sight.
The 12-year-old started growing his hair after he saw a television ad for a young boy who wished for a wig for Christmas.
After his family did some research on wig donations, Mitchell made the decision as a nine-year-old to grow his hair long enough to donate to Variety the Children's Charity.

His hair will be cut at CSC on October 2 and Mitchell said he was excited to finally have a new 'do and couldn't wait to see how it looked.
"I reckon it might feel quite odd at first but then I'll get use to it," he said.
As well as donating the hair, Mitchell is also raising money for the charity. He's raised more than $1100 so far.
Mitchell's dad Luke said there had been great support for the cause. He said any donations were welcome, even if it was just the price of a coffee.
