Although he still has a 'long road to recovery' ahead of him, he is 'soldiering on' and hasn't even so much as cried once.
Durakai remains at Westmead Children's Hospital in Sydney as a day patient and is able to spend nights with his family.
Community donations of more than $30,000 through a GoFundMe Page has enabled his parents and sisters to remain by his side in Sydney, as well as donations accumulated through community fundraisers.
Durakai was placed in a Superman Suit in late August, which he will wear for some time in order to help support his head and neck.
Injuries he sustained include two broken legs, two broken arms, ligament damage and a broken finger as well as some damage to the brain.
The extent of the damage is not yet known.
Durakai is able to go outside for short periods of time in a wheelchair when he is feeling up to it.
Parents Glenn and Brinae Smith are asking for their privacy to continue to be respected but have been posting updates regularly on their Facebook page, Darkeye.
Donations are still being accepted online at https://au.gofundme.com/f/244re1um9c.
