Hewitt only made her debut in the gig on Wednesday night but she already has two wins to her name.
Driving at her home track of Bathurst Paceway on Wednesday night, Hewitt had two drives and won both.
First up was the four-year-old gelding she trains herslef, Kash Us Back ($5), in the Cobbity Equine Pace (1730m).
"He's a pretty special horse to me Kash Us Back. I bred him, named him and trained him.
"It was just so special to have my first drive on him and to come away with the win, it was just so surreal.
"I couldn't explain it. I was numb for a while afterwards. I said, 'I think I won' and I could hear everyone yelling.
"He's just an unbelievable horse to me. I've got a special bond with him."
Hewitt proved it was no fluke by taking out the For A Reason Pace (1730m) with Lady Swiss ($3.30).
The victories were six months in the making as Hewitt has been ticking off the mandatory 20 trial drives before a first competitive race.
Hewitt could be in action again on Sunday, with promising gelding Kashed Us potentially returning from a spell at Dubbo.
