Council has made exhaustive attempts to investigate modified Flavours-style micro events that minimise crowd numbers - even delaying the event date until later in the year - however the potential health risk was considered too significant as a food and wine event.

"Unfortunately, the situation around events and COVID-19 has become very unpredictable and we could not in good conscience proceed with Flavours given the potential risk to our community, stallholders and attendees."
Mr Cam said Flavours of Mudgee will return in September 2021.
"We look forward to celebrating the return of Flavours of Mudgee next year," he said.
"I am confident our region's biggest wine and food event will return reinvigorated showcasing the best our local winemakers and food producers have to offer."
