Development approval has been given for Taco Bell restaurants at Bathurst, Orange and Tamworth in recent months.
Restaurant Brands Australia, which has already opened its first two Taco Bell stores in NSW, has previously announced its plans to expand to scores of unspecified locations across the state.
But the company remained tight-lipped this week when asked by the Daily Liberal if Dubbo had been considered as a potential location.
"Restaurant Brands is excited to bring the Taco Bell brand to NSW and remain committed to meeting our development plan of 40 restaurants over five years," a Restaurant Brands Australia spokesperson said.
"Our first two Taco Bell restaurants for NSW at Blacktown Westpoint and Jesmond Central have been very successful and have continued to trade throughout the COVID-19 crisis.
We are excited to have launched home delivery in April and are looking forward to bringing the craveable taste of Taco Bell to more locations across NSW and ACT in the near future.

In its annual profit result released in February and published on its website, Restaurant Brands said more than 10 stores were forecast to open during the next financial year with significant growth expected in sales as the brand builds towards an initial target of 60 stores by 2024.
Orange City Council brought a Taco Bell restaurant a step closer for the city in July when it voted to approve a development application (DA) on Bathurst Road.
In June Bathurst Regional Council approved a DA for a drive-through Taco Bell at a site just outside the central business district (CBD).
Tamworth Regional Council gave the green light to a DA for a Taco Bell store across the road from the city's Woolworths Eastpoint in March.
Taco Bell's website invites interested landholders to get in touch.
"We're always on the hunt for our next great Taco Bell locations and would love to hear from you if you think you have a site," it says.
"Please complete the form... and someone from our development team will be in touch."
Dubbo is already home to Mexican food outlets Zambrero in the CBD and Mad Mex at Orana Mall.
