About 2pm on Tuesday four youths entered the rear of a home on Minore Road, Dubbo, while the residents were home.
One of the residents, a 76-year-old man, asked them to leave.

The youths fled the home, jumping the back fence and running towards Landsdowne Drive.
Police attended and commenced an investigation.
No one was injured.
The youths are described as being Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance wearing dark clothing.
As inquiries continue, anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam vision from the area and its surrounds are urged to contact Dubbo Police or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
