Wild weather lashed Orange bringing wind gusts of up to 76km/h at 4pm on Friday which ripped an awning off the Railway Hotel at Spring Hill.

"Calls included: Trees down across major roads and highways, trees down on houses and yards, major structural damage to commercial and private premises, roof and water damage; and trees threatening to fall on infrastructure," Orange SES said of their 77 call-outs during Friday and Saturday.

In Dubbo, SES crews received 14 requests for assistance in about four hours after the storm swept through on Friday bringing wind gusts of up to 82km/h at 1pm.

In Parkes, winds brought down a tree and powerlines onto the roof of a house on Hill Street.

"After Essential Energy crews disconnected power to the home, crews sprayed down asbestos and bagged it before SES crews could begin work covering the area to prevent further damage," Parkes Fire and Rescue NSW crews said.

Rainfall was received right across the region with Bureau of Meteorology data showing Lithgow received the most with 59.8 millimetres recorded since 9am on Friday until 8am on Monday.

There were also significant falls in Young with 33.2mm recorded, with 28.8mm in Cowra, 18.8mm in Orange and 15.0mm in Forbes.

Bathurst had 13.8mm to 8am on Monday, with 12.0mm in Mudgee, 11.6mm in Parkes and 8mm in Dubbo.
