Wild Rocket reached lift-off on Sunday, powering ahead of her rivals in the Jeff Perry Memorial Benchmark 58 race in Dubbo to secure the mare's third win in a row.

"She's really stepped up to the mark," Kennedy told Sky Racing Thoroughbreds after the race.

"Matty's always said that she's going to be something special and I think she's getting there now."

Mathew Cahill, frequent jockey for the mare,rode her to success in her two previous winning starts in Dubbo and Forbes and Cahill was once again in the saddle for his partner's third straight victory.

The pair made their move at the 400m mark, taking a hard charge down the flanks of Kennedy's other hopeful Vogue Empress and slipping ahead of the Kody Nestor trained Five Start Gal.

The presumptive favourite kept the speed up and added to the mounting pressure of the battle for the lead developing between Stephen Jones' Les Amoureux and Brett Thompson's Clever Missile.

While Jones' dogged leader put up a fight along the final stretch, there was plenty of space between them after a final burst of speed from Kennedy's new contender sent Wild Rocket hurtling over the finishing line.
