In his weekly Australian Community Media column, NRL great Daley included Yeo in his list of the top 10 players in the game at the moment on current form.
Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary topped the list but his teammate and St John's junior Yeo came in at number six.
"He's been a bit of an unsung performer for the Panthers in recent seasons but I don't think anyone under-rates him any more," Daley wrote.
"Now more of a middle forward, his huge work rate and influence in the Panthers pack has been huge all season."

Elsewhere in the NRL, Wellington junior Kotoni Staggs has been praised for the way he's handled himself this week after a sensitive video he featured was released.
An 18-year-old woman was charged on Friday for distributing a prohibited visual recording and will face court on September 3.
Staggs was cleared of any wrongdoing by the NRL's integrity unit and Broncos captain Patrick Carrigan has praised the 21-year-old for his handling of the drama.
"While everything that happened probably wasn't ideal his main concern was not being distracted on Friday night," Carrigan said.
