Members of the group have been hard at work, participating in a contest run by the Taronga Western Plains Zoo intended to honour the gentle giants on August 12.
ArtClubDub's Kerry Palmer said the decision to participate was an obvious opportunity.

"We love Taronga Western Plains Zoo and we were really excited by the initiative for World Elephant day, right now we're exploring a lot of themes of a famous artist Henri Matisse and colours and thing like that, so it was a good fit," Ms Palmer said.
The sculptures are mostly made of cardboard, with the contest stipulating that entries have to be made of sustainable materials.
"It's give us an opportunity to blend in some other learning around animals and conservation in our art classes, which is always a lovely outcome," Ms Palmer said.
"We've talked around a lot of the themes and the plight of these majestic animals, both the asian and african elephant, we've been talking about colours and patterns that fit them as a design as well."
"There's just so many great stories to be shared with the kids."
Ms Palmer called the initiative 'a great cause' and said the kids involved have already impressed with their knowledge about elephants.
"I test them with questions and they surprise me sometimes with what they know," Ms Palmer said.
The contest will also provide a further learning opportunity for the winners, with each child that's picked receiving a 30 minute video conference with the zoo's elephant keepers.
"It's a bit of a shame that we can't go down there right now, but with everything going on, it's understandable," Ms Palmer said, noting that conservation efforts in Asia have also taken a hit because of COVID-19.
"We love taking on these challenges, though, getting to create something new with surprising results, we have some great talks about all this stuff."
