A 25-year-old Dubbo man has been charged with domestic-related offences on Sunday, August 2.

Just after 12.30am on Saturday, August 1, officers were called to a house on Birch Avenue after reports a man allegedly assaulted a woman during a domestic-related incident.
The man fled the scene on foot and was arrested by police following a short foot pursuit. During the pursuit, the man ran through a metal gate, causing it to strike an officer.
A sergeant was treated for lacerations to his hand.

He was taken to Dubbo Police Station, before being taken to Dubbo Hospital for treatment of a shoulder injury.
He was taken back to the station and charged with resist officer in execution of duty, destroy or damage property (DV), possess prohibited drug, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic) and common assault.
He was refused bail and appeared before Dubbo Local Court on Saturday, where he was formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Monday.
