Safety works on the Golden Highway between Dunedoo and Dubbo have been completed.
The works included widening and improving the road on a 1.6 kilometre section of the Golden Highway six kilometres south-west of Dunedoo.
Funding for the works was provided by the NSW Government, as part of the pavement rehabilitation program.
Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders said the works were a 'win for all road users, providing safer and more reliable journeys in the Central West.'
"This section of the Golden Highway provides an important link between Dubbo and Dunedoo.
"Widening this section of the highway will improve safety for all road users by providing additional space for vehicles to recover should they veer off the road.
"The upgrade has the added benefit of strengthening the road surface that will extend the life of the highway for decades to come and reduce the need for ongoing maintenance."
