Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders said the works were a 'win for all road users, providing safer and more reliable journeys in the Central West.'
"This section of the Golden Highway provides an important link between Dubbo and Dunedoo.
"Widening this section of the highway will improve safety for all road users by providing additional space for vehicles to recover should they veer off the road.
"The upgrade has the added benefit of strengthening the road surface that will extend the life of the highway for decades to come and reduce the need for ongoing maintenance."
