After 15 matches, there's been 63 goals scored with 37 different goal scorers.
Spang is in a hot run of form, scoring all his six goals in his past three games for Macquarie.
His tally of six has him one ahead of Dubbo Bulls' Gareth Williams, who has scored five.
It's fitting that these two Dubbo-based footballers are in the top positions in the golden boot race, with both Macquarie and Bulls topping the ladder with 10 points each. Macquarie currently occupies top spot by virtue of goal difference.
Rounding out the placings is Lithgow Workmen's skipper Ben Sheehan in third, who has scored fours goals.
In his most recent match, Sheehan scored a hat-trick in Workmen's 3-1 home win over Parkes Cobras on Sunday, helping keep the Lithgow club as the only undefeated team this season.
His hat-trick, as well as Spang's, are the only hat-tricks of the season so far.
Panorama captain Ryan Peacock is fourth in the golden boot race, scoring three goals in four games for the Goats, with two of those three goals coming from the spot.
Round six of the 2020 WPL season gets underway on Saturday.
