"School buses, emergency vehicles and council maintenance vehicles are exempt from this requirement," council said.
"Please proceed with caution on all other roads."
Many rural roads in the Bogan Shire are closed to heavy vehicles with council listing some exceptions to individual drivers.
"Bogan Shire Council appeals to all drivers planning to travel within the shire to assist in preventing damage to the unsealed roads by choosing an alternative route or waiting until driver conditions prevail," council said on social media.
"Flagrant and irresponsible disregard for this appeal could lead to prosecution to the full extent of the law."
Live Traffic states that some roads in the Coonamble Shire have been impacted, with council's most recent road report issued on Monday.
Berni Road, between the Castlereagh Highway and Mendooran Road, is closed in the Warrumbungle Shire, with a number of other roads impacted.
The NSW SES has urged motorists to never drive through floodwater and observe all signs as waterways can rise and fall in a short period of time.
