The Swans registered a rare pair of wins over the Coonamble Bears at Coonamble on Saturday, claiming the tag encounter 18-6 and then winning first grade 16-10 in what was a close and enthralling affair.
Dunedoo, coming off a solid win over the Binnaway Bombshells in round one, went in to the game without their playmaker Tom Yeo.
They were met with an eager reception from the Bears who were enjoying their first hit out for the season after having had the bye in the first round.
It took 30 minutes before the scoreboard attendant was called into action as both sides went at it, but then in the final 10 minutes of the first half both teams managed to get over the line, and with the Bears converting they went to the break with a narrow two point advantage at 6-4.
Perhaps it was the advantage of having played a game the previous week that saw the Swans slowly gain ascendancy in the second stanza, and they drew away to claim victory but had to survive a worrying moment as the Bears threw everything at them.

Unfortunately for the red and black supporters they could not convert their chances into points.
At Binnaway, the Bombshells got the day off to a great start when their youth league team won an entertaining match against the Gilgandra Panthers 32-22.
Despite a four try effort by Meg Walton the Bombshells' league tag side went down to the Pink Panthers 28-16.
The majority of the first grade game was played in rainy conditions and maybe this was a factor in the high degree of physicality that prevailed throughout the match with both teams being very willing in their defensive work.
However it was to be the Panthers who handled the conditions better in attack and they were able to cross for seven unanswered tries to win 38 -0.
That win sets up an intriguing match-up against their arch rivals, the Coonamble Bears, in Gilgandra this Saturday.
The Bears will better for their hit out against Dunedoo and they love nothing better than to stick it to the Panthers no matter where the match takes place.
The Bombshells were far from disgraced in their game against Gilgandra, but failed to capitalise on a number of scoring opportunities, but certainly they played for the entire 80 minutes, which is something that they will have to do again this Saturday when they make the long road trip to Cobar to take on the Roosters.
The Roosters will be coming off the bye, after just falling short of the Panthers in their opening game.
The Rooster's league tag side will be wondering what they have to do to win a game after losing by one point in the opening round to the Pink Panthers and then going down by two to the reigning premiers, the Baradine Magpiettes last Saturday, the score being 8-6.
The Magpiettes will be home to the Dunedoo Swannettes this Saturday in what shapes as a very entertaining battle.
