WNSW PHN chief executive officer Andrew Harvey leads a 15-member working group putting together the plan with support from Reconciliation Australia.
"Embedding Aboriginal health as a core focus of the work of the PHN is one of our guiding principles, and so reconciliation is critical to assisting us to ensure we're making meaningful gains in the health and well-being of Aboriginal people across our region," he said.

"With the support of Reconciliation Australia, the peak body for reconciliation in Australia, we are developing an Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
"We believe the Innovate RAP is representative of where Western NSW PHN is on our reconciliation journey, allowing for us to aspire for deeper understanding to build better relationships and partnerships which will advance reconciliation and better health outcomes in our region."
Mr Harvey said the working group members came from within the ranks of the WNSW PHN, external organisations and Aboriginal communities across the region.
"We already do a lot of great work in the role we play as a commissioner of services to support programs and services to improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal people and the RAP will help us to build on this good work," he said.
