POLICE are appealing for public assistance after several firearms were stolen from a home at Cobar last year.

On Friday, August 2, 2019 officers attached to the Central North Police District were called to a home on Brough Street in Cobar, following reports of a break and enter.
Eight firearms - including seven handguns and one rifle - were reported stolen from the home.
One firearm in particular, a Glock pistol with an identifiable sight feature, was among the stolen firearms.
Police have been told the break-in occurred between July 31, 2019 and August 2, 2019.
As part of ongoing inquiries, police conducted a search at a property at Cobar about 10.40am on Friday, July 24, 2020.
During the search, police located a box of .22 calibre and 25 rounds of shotgun ammunition which police believe could be linked to a separate break and enter which occurred at Cobar in February, 2020.
Investigations are ongoing.
