At the beginning of this year, via the Daily Liberal, I invited Dubbo Regional Councillors to visit the Geurie tip in 40 degree heat to see for themselves under what appalling condition they are making one of their employees work. Did they go? I doubt it.

The only thing that has happened is there is now a slimline water tank at the rear of the shipping container. Why? Who knows maybe so the employee does not have to take his own water.
It is now winter and I once again invite the Dubbo City Councillors to visit the Geurie tip.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Last week it was cold, 12 degrees and windy and yet once again the employee was sitting in the steel shipping container.
As well as a small table and a chair for the employee, the shipping container contains "rubbish". Be it summer or winter sitting in that steel container is a health hazard.
Mr. Mayor, Councillors and CEO, you should all hang your heads in shame to be responsible for treating your outdoor staff in such an inhumane manner. It is a disgrace.
What would it take to build a small brick building with a window so that the employee can serve the public through it and the public can stay in their cars.
Get some solar panels so the employee can have a heater in winter and a fan in summer. We don't live in a third world country.
