There's been plenty of change across the Blowes Clothing Cup from last year to this but few sides have undergone as much of a revamp as City.
Having finished with the wooden spoon the past two years, the Lions have been bolstered by a swag of rugby league players looking for a game after the cancellation of the Group 10 season.
Orange Hawks stars Rakai Tuheke, Sia Nemani, Steven Widders and Eman Rodriguez will all make their Lions' debut on Saturday after Viv Passi's side had the bye last weekend.
Former premiership winner with City and electric outside back Joe Lasagavibau has also returned to the Lions.
"They wouldn't get a first-grade jersey if they weren't up to scratch ... they've proved themselves," Paasi said.
"All of them have slotted in very well and it's made for a really good mix of talent at the club."
Widders has been named at fullback for the Lions, while Tuheke and Rodriguez will run out at inside centre and on the wing respectively.
While Nemani, a prop, will add some serious weight to the Lions scrum.
Throw the likes of Duncan Young, Harry Cooper and Tom Fenton into the mix and Passi believes he's got an extremely talented City roster, one the club hasn't seen in a number of years.
The Roos will make the trip to Orange with confidence after a round one win over defending premiers Bathurst Bulldogs.
A number of new faces in the side dazzled in that contest.
Kick-off is 3.15pm.
