A MAN has appeared before Dubbo Local Court on multiple drug related charges following an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs.

In April 2020, officers attached to Central North Police District, with the assistance of Walgett detectives and the Proactive Crime Team, established Strike Force Spessartine to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in Walgett Shire.
At 8am on Friday, July 17, police attended a home on Slacksmith Street at Burren Junction where they arrested a 61-year-old man in relation to the investigation.
A search warrant was conducted at the home, during which an amount of prohibited drugs, tobacco, cash and electronic storage devices were located and seized.
The man was taken to Walgett Police Station where he was charged with: ongoing supply of prohibited drugs (x2); supply prohibited drug indictable quantity; supply prohibited drug small quantity (x2); supply prohibited drug small indictable quantity; possess prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime less than $100,000; and breach of bail.
He was refused bail and appeared before Dubbo Local Court on Saturday where he was again bail refused and reappeared before court on Monday.
