Organiser Anna Demasi said it was fantastic to see everyone who attended abide by COVID restrictions and follow safety measures.
"It was a fantastic day overall and we had a great turnout," Mrs Demasi said.
"It was great to see everyone not only keep themselves safe but also keeper our vendors safe by practising COVID-19 safety measures.
"Getting into the markets was a bit slow as we had to get everyone to sign in as a COVID safety measure, but everyone was taking it in their stride and doing the right thing."
Mrs Demasi said they were very thankful to everyone who came for doing the right thing.
"It makes our jobs a lot easier," she said.
Mrs Demasi said with COVID, it was hard to say exactly when the next Foodies Market would be held in Dubbo.
"We are in conversation with the Dubbo Showground committee to discuss a second post-COVID event in Dubbo," she said.
"But, with COVID it's hard to say what we will be able to do looking forward, it's unpredictable, so we're just taking it day-by-day and doing the best that we can," she said.
Mrs Demasi said the return of the markets were great for communities not only because they provided residents with access to unique foods, but because they offered support to business locally by drawing people from surrounding areas to town.
"Hosting the markets means that people will be seeking out accommodation locally and filling their cars up at local petrol stations as well as buying food and other supplies from other business," she said.
