The HubnSpoke will be established in Burraway Street at the former site of the Narromine News.

Narromine Shire Council has finalised the scope of works that need to be undertaken and requests for quotation will be issued this week.

At this stage, council expects the HubnSpoke will be launched in November.

The building will provide shared working spaces, featuring new state-of-the-art technology, hot desk work stations, access to WiFi, a meeting room and kitchen facilities, as well as space for creative workshops and professional networking events.

Meanwhile, a heritage architect has provided advice on the work needed to be undertaken at the town's former courthouse.

The historically significant building was a courthouse from 1899 to 1962. It was then turned into a museum until the start of this year when it was forced to close due to a lack of volunteers.

Council's community and economic development director Phil Johnston said the heritage architect was in Narromine to do a report on the museum's collection and while she was there gave some "advice on the building generally".

It includes repairs to the timber elements, plumbing items like the guttering and timber fireplace. As well as the need for everything to be repainted and an all-weather awning to be installed.

Other suggestions include repairing the front door and removing the ineffective internal ramp in the closed verandah space.

However funding is not available for all the work to be done. Mr Johnston said council was not planning a grand upgrade at this time.
