Bourke Courthouse will be painted inside and out by Aboriginal-owned building company Dice Contracting.
The Sydney-based company has won a tender to repair and improve courthouses at Armidale, Bourke, Broken Hill, Forster, Lismore, Muswellbrook and Port Macquarie.
The total value of projects awarded to Dice Contracting is almost $1.6 million.
The state government has fast-tracked $9 million in courthouse improvements in a bid to support regional economies hit by COVID-19 restrictions.
The courthouse projects form part of a more than $100 million regional COVID-19 stimulus package announced in April.
Attorney General Mark Speakman said Dice Contracting was one of the leading Indigenous-owned and operated building companies in NSW.
It was committed to creating job opportunities for Aboriginal tradesmen and labourers, he said.
