Dubbo trainer Barry Lew will hope that's the case when Dazzle Me ventures to the city for the Central West Plumbing and Gasfitting Pace (2060m) for his second start this preparation.
This preparation has been a long time coming for the American Ideal gelding who has had his campaign delayed on two separate occasions but Lew is hopeful the extra time in the paddock can translate to success on the race track.
"His last run was alright. I had him up and ready to go earlier in the season then we had all the smoke and dust storms up at Dubbo so I turned him out again," Lew said.
"Then we prepared him again before COVID-19 hit, so I turned him out again when we weren't too sure whether we'd be racing or not, so now he's coming back again."
The former Group-level placegetter can lift his strike rate to 50 per cent if he can pick up his eighth career win on Wednesday.

He gets a great opportunity to do that out of gate two.
With his gate speed he'll be a strong chance of leading the race with the reins in Mat Rue's hands.
It's a big change from his first up run where he had to do some extra work on the back row racing on his home track.
"I thought his run was good and he got knocked up on the way home. He was worked fairly hard though in the middle stages," he said.
"He's got gate speed and a good turn of foot. He can sprint and he can do everything. It's all up to Matty Rue, really. I get him as ready as I can then it's all up to him once he's there."
Lew said the Bathurst trip is one step towards what will hopefully be a campaign featuring bigger events.
"He worked real good here at Dubbo on Sunday and I was happy with him," he said.
"I thought we'd have some better races coming up, maybe some of the $10,000 heats with finals in Sydney or maybe country cup sort of events.
"Once he gets a lead or a nice sit behind a good horse he can turn on the speed in the run home. That's what I look for with him.
"I've got bigger fish to fry with him once tracks start to open up."
Wednesday's 90-rated event features a small but handy field of horses.
The main dangers for Lew's only runner of the night look to be Bernie Hewitt's Smooth Sailor, Steve Turnbull's Maximus Red and Peter Trevor-Jones' Beetson.
Peter Bullock's Swaggie Shannon can be up on the speed with an inside start.
Racing at Bathurst gets started from 5.07pm.
