Following a really tough start to 2020 many families are now hitting the open roads and are keen to explore NSW.

NRMA Dubbo Holiday Park manager Shaunie Bruce said "it's flat out" leading up to the July school holidays.

"Our cabins are pretty full, but there's a few spare days here and there," she said.

"We've also got a few powered and non-powered sites that are available."

Ms Bruce said staff morale has spiked now that people are starting to travel again and COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease.

"All the staff are really excited about getting back to normal and getting back to work and these holidays are certainly shaping up to be a good one," she said.

"It's amazing, it's just good to see people booking into the park.

"It's been nice to see people start exploring Australia."

While caravan and camping parks are now open across the state, there are many changes to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"We've had to implement contactless check-ins, but if people are staying in cabins they just have to pick up their key in the office," Ms Bruce said.

"With the [camping] sites everything can get done online and we just send them the park map and they can drive straight in.

"We've limited the number of people who are allowed in the office at one time.

"If there's a pole in the park it now has a hand sanitiser [strapped] on it."

Cleaning operations across the park have also increased.

"During holidays we normally deep clean twice a day, but we're doing it more often now," Ms Bruce said.

All guests to the park are asked to sign in and declare that they haven't been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19 or been to a virus hot spot.
