A 69-year-old man has been taken to Dubbo Base Hospital in a stable condition after the car he was driving rolled on the Newell Highway on Thursday morning.

Emergency services attended the scene around 10km south of Dubbo at about 11am.
Police said the driver had lost control, causing the caravan to overturn and come to rest on the western side of the road.
On arrival emergency services found the driver, a man aged 69, trapped by confinement. He was released a short time later by NSW Volunteer Rescue Association - Dubbo Rescue Squad personnel.
Temporary traffic diversions were put in place while the traffic operation was underway, and the road was later opened.
Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District are continuing investigations into the cause of the crash.
