Burrabadine Dream, who has family ties to the late, great Karloo Mick, stormed home across the line in their first victory at Parkes and will now try to double up at home in Dubbo this weekend.

"I think she's going alright right now, I just don't know how good she's going to be, I'm hoping she keeps improving the way she already has, so hopefully she could keep getting better," Lew said.

"We've drawn in number three up front, we got the choice to go forward or go backwards and we'll just have to watch out for people coming under her.

"But I'm hoping she goes good, it'd be great to get another win with her."

Another win so soon might seem unlikely, especially facing down the likes of Nathan Turnbull at the helm of Bell River Boy, but Lew has reason believe Burrabadine Dream can beat the odds.

"A couple of weeks ago, my driver told me he didn't think they'd ever win a race, so there is that, but that first win in Parkes was definitely good for her," Lew said.

Greg Lew will be at the reins for this tilt, with Burrabadine Dream's usual driver John O'Shea instead sitting in the gig of the Paul Bonham trained She's The Other One in the same race.

"Greg's my number two driver, John O'Shea usually drives for me as a rule, but Greg does a lot of work at home, so it's good to have him ready in case of situations like this," Lew said.

Lew is also feeling good about the prospect of being back racing at home, with prize money set to creep back up to it's usual heights next month.

"It's great to be back racing at home, and now the prize money goes back up in July, so that'll make it a lot better too," Lew said.

"It'll be very good when we can start getting the crowd back there, but obviously we still don't know when that is."

The races kick off on Sunday from 12.27pm, with Burrabadine Dream involved in the second race, the 1720m Orana Wool and Scrap Metal Pace at 1.07pm.
