The slip lane from the Mitchell Highway on the Newell Highway will remain closed until mid-2021, weather permitting.
Motorists turning left onto the Newell Highway to travel south will need to make the turn from the roundabout.
The closure of the slip lane was put in place earlier this month and Transport for NSW monitored traffic impacts of the changes and will keep the slip lane closed to utilise the area during construction.
Work is scheduled from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 6pm with some work scheduled after hours to minimise impacts and improve the safety of workers and road users.
Traffic barriers and reduced speed limits of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists while work is carried out.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Motorists should plan their trip, allow extra travel time and follow the direction of traffic control and all signs, including reduced speed limits.
