The driver, a 35-year-old man, who had his 13-year-old son in the car, was fined for exceeding the speed limit over 45km/h and driving with an expired licence.
About 6pm the same day, police allegedly detected the same vehicle travelling at 186km/h in a signposted 110km/h zone on the Silver City Highway, 35kms south of Broken Hill.
The man, again accompanied by his son, was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for exceed speed more than 45km/ph, drive while unlicensed, and drive at speed dangerous.
His vehicle was impounded, and a child at risk notification has been made.
He is due to appear in Broken Hill Local Court in August.

"Speeding is not only illegal but selfish, as you're endangering the lives of your passengers and every road user," she said.
"As you see in the case of the driver allegedly caught speeding twice, officers are out in force across the state. And speeding will not be tolerated."
