Ms Rennie took part in the National Breast Cancer Foundation's Go Pink initiative and raised just over $1000 for the cause.
The Go Pink campaign runs over the month of June, where participants make a pledge to wear pink, shave or colour their hair pink to raise funds for those impacted by breast cancer in 2020 and beyond. Ms Rennie said she's always wanted to dye her hair bright colours, but wanted to do it for a special reason.
"I had friends in school whose mother's or family members had breast cancer... so I thought why not dye my hair for a good cause," she explained. "It's good to be able to help someone that needs it."
Ms Rennie had her hair dyed pink thanks to hairdresser Nikki Catelotti, of The Hair Gallery By Nikki on June 18"
While she was a little nervous before going in, Ms Rennie said she loves the result.
"It was well worth it," she said.
Her advice to others thinking of taking the Go Pink pledge was to get on board.
"It is a really good cause and it's not hard to raise money if you have family and friends wiling to support you," Ms Rennie explained.
