The first incident occurred at 8.54pm with a triple-0 call alerting firefighters to a tree alight near the corner of Collins and Lunar avenues.
Fire and Rescue NSW Dubbo Station Officer Simon Bracht said the tree was quickly extinguished and the fire did not spread to any nearby structures or property.
He said firefighters were previously been called to a deliberately lit fire in this same tree around 12 months ago.
Then at 9.27pm on Sunday firefighters were called to a bin that had been set on fire in the middle of John Glenn Reserve.
Police were also called to both fires and the incidents are now under investigation.
