Sure, the central west band doesn't quite sit on the same pedestal as two iconic Australian artists, but it is joining what's becoming an illustrious destination for music in regional Australia when they head to Tullamore in September.
Phrase Noise Offensive - which goes by PNO - is looking to head to Tullamore, Tomingley near Peak Hill and one other rural town as part of its Bringing it to the Bush Tour over September, October and November.
Drummer Steve 'Rocket' Davis said he and the band were trying to do their bit for the bush after the economic devastation caused by the drought, bushfires and coronavirus, which all had financial impacts on rural Australia.
While lockdown hit PNO financially as well, Mr Davis said the band had decided to make something of a year of otherwise cancelled gigs across the central west.
"The year's buggered anyway with regular gigs so we thought we'd do something a bit different," he said.
"In lockdown we were thinking about what we could do to help, and we always wanted to do something to help with the drought."
Mr Davis said sponsors had leapt onboard to help out, too, with Central Tablelands Fire and Electrical Services, Buckley's Carpet Court, Turbo Fire and Electrical Solutions and Trent Build all pitching in for hundreds of dollars of vouchers for the pubs PNO will play at.
"We want people to grab food and some drink, to get some money in there on the ground," he said.
"We want people to come and hitch the caravan on the back, dust the motorbike off, throw the kids in a swag and fill up with petrol at the servo on the way out - that sort of thing."
He said the willingness of people to jump onboard showed people were still eager to give money to worthy causes and help rural towns get back on their feet.
And the regional towns? They've loved it.
"They're saying 'we can't believe you thought of us'," Mr Davis said.
The final spot on the tour is still up for grabs, with PNO encouraging regional communities to get in touch and tell the band why their pub should be the spot they visit in November.
