Co-chair of WHRN and associate professor Dr Catherine Hawke said the symposium will bring together eight speakers, covering topics from regional health to community engagement.
"Over the last seven years we have built momentum with the event and holding the event online will be a great opportunity for people living across regional and rural NSW," she said.
"We will have a series of webinars, workshops and writing groups available to discuss the matters of health in western NSW."

Dr Hawke said 70 people have signed up so far and the speakers and panelists are set to inspire researchers in the region.
"The talks will be in bite sized chunks to be digestible for health professionals and anyone who is interested in health and research," she said.
"We would love to inspire emerging research and learning in regional, remote and rural communities of western NSW."
Cancer Council Western NSW community lead Ricky Puata will be a keynote speaker discussing how community engagement informs research for regional and rural communities.
"It is an ideal time, during COVID-19, for the symposium to go virtual," he said
"The event will bring in voices from across the state to have their say about what they look for in health research."
Mr Puata said consumer advocacy is a critical factor for future health research projects.
"There is a disparity in health outcomes for people living in regional and rural NSW," he said.
"It is important that people are counted and their issues are heard."
Every second Thursday of the month till the end of the year, WHRN will dedicate a time for other webinars including Aboriginal Research Forum, General Research Presentations, Clinical Trials, Webinar and Emerging Research(er) Presentations.
