More staff and more services

For over a quarter of a century, Wingewarra Dental has been helping provide Dubbo and the surrounding region with the best dental health care available. Since 1994, the friendly staff have ensured a wide range of services have been on offer and Practice Principal, Dr Bruce Gray, said that he was proud of the dedication shown by the team. Wingewarra Dental are seen as leaders in their industry. The practice is complete with a well- trained and committed team, an architecturally designed and purpose built facility providing spacious and pleasant surroundings for patients and staff, and state of the art equipment which includes gold standard sterilising equipment and protocols, the latest in digital radiograph and 3D imaging and intra-oral scanning hardware.

Wingewarra is also benefiting from a new addition to the practice, with Dr Melissa Lin joing the team. Sydney born and raised, Dr Lin is a graduate of the Charles Sturt University and said she was now very much enjoying life in regional NSW. Dr Lin will focus on general dentistry, along with a particular interest in restorative care and child dental health. Dr Lin is a great addition to the existing specialist Wingewarra team consisting of Dr Gray along with, Dr Grace Amey, Dr Rory Greer, Dr Danish Hassan and Prashiela Shandil. Dr Gray provides general dental services, however his focus is on all levels of dental implant treatment and oral surgery including wisdom tooth removal.

Dr Amey is currently on maternity leave, however enjoys a large and loyal following because of her engaging nature, her calming presence and her provision of a high level of clinical care and skill. Local boy, Dr Greer, has been a part of Wingewarra since Year Nine at school, when he joined the team first as a work experience student, then as part of the clinical associate staff, then seamlessly moving onto the next level after graduating as a dentist.

Dr Hassan is now into his third year at Wingewarra Dental providing a wide range of clinical services including dentures, in a skillful, patient focused manner and he takes pride in comprehensively explaining his treatment plans and protocols which is well appreciated by patients. Ms Shandil is a dual qualified Dental Hygienist and Oral Therapist and provides the important role at Wingewarra Dental, of the periodontal care of our patients with clinical and oral health management and monitoring, along with delivering clinical care to children and young adults.

Dr Gray said that the team offered a broad range of services not only at 91 Wingewarra St, but also at Dubbo Hospital and at Dubbo Private Hospital. "We offer general anaesthetic facilities for patients seeking a broad range of care such as wisdom tooth removal but also other procedures such as fillings and extractions," he said.
