The Dubbo Regional Botanic Gardens Adventure Playground cafe will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 10am and 2pm.
The cafe will be managed by Beth Shea, who also looks after the pool.
She said there had been a lot of anticipation around the opening.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"The number of people who have walked past and gone 'when are you opening? are you opening soon?' is really great. I think it will go off. It'll be fantastic," she said.
Ms Shea said the cafe was ideally situated, allowing parents to grab a coffee while the kids were playing close by.
As well as hot and cold drinks, light food such as pre-packaged sandwiches, muffins and pies will also be available.
At the moment it will only be open for the three days but if there's a need, the hours will be increased.
Ms Shea said there will be one staff member at this stage, but there was the capacity for it to expand to two in the busier times, like school holidays.
"We're really going to play it by ear at the moment," she said.
Cafe patrons will need to follow the COVIDSafe signage in place at the site.
