A UNIT block was evacuated overnight following a fire which is now under police investigation. Emergency services were called to a property on Ellengerah Street in Narromine at 6pm on Sunday, May 31 following reports of a blaze in a unit. Fire and Rescue NSW Dubbo Station Officer Simon Bracht said the unit where the fire ignited was left substantially damaged. There were six units in the block and 11 people were evacuated from the property during the emergency incident. Station Officer Bracht said firefighters were able to contain the blaze to one unit. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
