Saturday was meant to be a memorable day for the Dubbo trainer as he took three horses to the city for the first time but each went unplaced and he was also questioned after three tubes of paste were found in his float.
AAP reported Lundholm initially told stewards he had borrowed the float and assured them the pastes had not been used on his horses.
His explanation was accepted and his two Highway Handicap entrants allowed to run, Kahlo going on to finish seventh while Sticks 'N' Stones was ninth.
Chief stipe Marc van Gestel later summoned a rattled Lundholm back to the stewards' room, informing him at least one of the tubes appeared to have been recently used.
A subsequent phone call to his parents-in-law, who lent him the float, had also revealed the truck had not been used in months before he borrowed it.
Van Gestel again asked Lundholm if he had used the paste on his horses since leaving Dubbo, adding that the substance was not illegal.
To be caught with them in my float and be put under pressure, I panicked.

The trainer admitted he had administered the paste on Friday.
He apologised to stewards and said he was worried because he did not fully understand the treatment rules.
"To be caught with them in my float and be put under pressure, I panicked," Lundholm said.
The trainer's Rosehill runners were ordered to be swabbed and the inquiry has been adjourned.
After the dramatic Saturday Lundholm will be in action at Dubbo Turf Club on Monday.
He's got seven chances in at the eight-race meeting, including one in each of the Country Winter Classic heats.
Veteran Any Blinkin' Day will carry the top weight in the first heat while Dusky Damsel will be in action in the second.
Apprentice Georgina McDonnell will ride for Lundholm for the first time since arriving at his Dubbo stables on Monday.
She has four rides booked, with Any Blinkin' Day one of two rides for Lundholm.
Racing starts 12.20pm.
