"A real highlight in releasing my single and music video this Friday is being able to showcase footage of Dubbo and Gilgandra to my audience," Miss Pye said.
"A family friend of ours, Terry Wilcher from Dubbo business 123tix was kind enough to let me shoot a small scene in his office.
"We also shot a scene in Dubbo's main street as well as out on my sister and brother-in-law's farm north of Gilgandra.
"We also used a drone to capture a lot of the landscape from Dubbo travelling towards Gilgandra that we use in the video clip."
Miss Pye said she has performed many times in Dubbo and has travelled through the city often, which is why she knew it would be the perfect place to film the music video.
"I was inspired to film out there because I'm a true country girl at heart, I grew up in Oberon.
"I wanted to film in a location that represented the song which is about being caught up in a rut and going through the motions of discovering your spark again. For me, that means going on a trip and travelling."
Miss Pye grew up in a musical family who appreciated Australian country music. She started singing and playing musical instruments as a child and has been performing across the Central West and in Dubbo since her early teens.
Miss Pye is currently based in Orange, where she works as a physiotherapist at Orange Hospital.
"I grew up listening to country artists from Keith Urban to the Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain, so I've definitely drawn on them for inspiration.
"In terms of songwriting, It is heavily influenced by Australian pub rock culture like the band Cold Chisel."
Miss Pye said Get Lost is 'definitely' a song fans of all music genres will be able to appreciate.
"I hope Dubbo residents can get on board and watch the video clip, see if they recognise any of the locations."
The song and music video will go live as of this Friday and will be available to watch for free on Youtube.
You will also be able to stream the song on Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes. Miss Pye will also be releasing an EP later in the year. Get Lost being the first song on the album.
