The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) released the timetable for this year's HSC exams on May 15.
NESA unveiled an amended timetable for the Year 12 exams, with written exams set to commence on October 20 - five days later than originally planned.
Oral language exams will start on August 15.
Dubbo College Senior Campus students, Monique May, Darcy Wood, James Finch and Paycee Cubby will all sit the HSC exams later this year.
Mr Wood said having the release of the timetable provides an end goal and something to aim for.
"It gives you that finish line to make sure you really keep motivated," he explained.
In the meantime, Mr Wood said will be focusing on completing his assessments before knuckling down with his HSC studies.

Mr Finch said he too will be working hard to complete his current assessments and as the exams get closer will put together a study plan.
"My exams are spread out for the HSC over the four weeks so hopefully I'll also have a lot of time to study in between as well," he said.
The Senior Campus student, who hopes to study Aerospace Engineering at University, said the release of the HSC timetable will help with his preparations.
Ms Cubby said she loves being at school and values the face-to-face learning with her teachers in preparing for the HSC exams.
Her goal after completing Year 12 is to go to University and study to become an Earth and Environmental Scientist.

Ms May's advice to students sitting their HSC exams this year is to study hard.
"You're going to get results if you put the work in," she explained.
After completing Year 12, Ms May would like to study Early Education and Primary School teaching.
Dubbo MP Dugald Saunders also welcomed the announcement of the released HSC exam timetable.
"NESA has determined that it will be safe and viable for most physical exams to go ahead in October, albeit about one week later than planned to allow students more time to prepare with their teachers face-to-face," he said.
"It's so important to give our young people this certainty so they can prepare themselves for these exams - the culmination of 13 years of schooling."

NESA Chief Executive Officer Paul Martin said the timetable would provide the certainty that students, teachers and parents have been looking for around the HSC.
"Students have known that the HSC would be going ahead and this timetable provides the certainty many have been seeking about when their exams will take place," Mr Martin said.
"This timetable starts five days later giving students some extra time at school after the Spring holiday period while keeping to the original time frame for releasing results."
