Clint Lundholm had a strong team contest the six-race meeting and while some of his well-supported hopes missed out he did score with Sons Of Bourke and Kahlo.
With both being early in their preparation it was a confidence-boosting performance for the Lundholm team.
The trainer did have three hopes in the final event of the day but he was unable to continue his amazing knack of winning the last race as Brett Thompson's All Hollywood saluted.

That win came courtesy of a brilliant ride from apprentice Ronald Simpson, who had also got the job done for Lundholm just one race prior.
Simpson got the job done with Sons Of Bourke ($4.40 favourite), who was first-up in the Daily Liberal CG&E Benchmark 58 Handicap (1100m).
"He's been racing well first-up over previous preparations and Ronny riding with such confidence," Lundholm told Sky Thoroughbred Central.
"In previous preparations I've tried to stretch him out and get to 1400 and he was the Country Championships [Qualifier] runner-up [in 2019] and stuff like that but I think that was just that day.
"He's an out-and-out sprinter and that's the way to ride him. Ride him cold ... it seems to work."
Satan Da ($17) produced a handy run for Karen Lunn and led at one point in the straight but Simpson and Sons Of Bourke powered along the extreme outside and went on to win by a comfortable one-and-a-half lengths.
Bee Double Bee ($11) ran home well for second, ahead of Satan Da.
Kahlo's win wasn't quite as dominant as he had to overhaul gutsy stablemate Gorn Hoff and Narrow Neck Nelson.
Gorn Hoff was the $3 favourite and when moving to the rails and up alongside Narrow Neck Nelson ($7) in the straight it appeared the win was for the taking.
But the Peter Stanley-trained gelding fought on bravely while on the outside Andrew Banks was urging on Kahlo ($4.60).
In a good battle Kahlo finished best to win by a half-length while a nose separated Narrow Neck Nelson in second and Gorn Hoff.
"Those two have run to their form and done really well," Lundholm said, before praising Banks.
"He's done a great job with this little filly this preparation. He'd ridden her both times and he's found the key to her. She's really finding the line well in those late parts."
It was a first win this preparation for Kahlo, with the rise in weight and distance from previous starts proving no issue.
"We were going to claim with her but we were in two minds and then got caught but 'Banksy' has done too good a job on her so we stuck with him and it paid off."
