The students worked with Desert Pea Media, the school and Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation to create the song There are Thunderstorms About.
The students, featured singing and rapping in the video, are part of a group called the B-town Warriors.
The song and video were produced by Desert Pea Media which is a registered charity organisation that drives change through collaborative storytelling and by empowering Indigenous young people.
The song was later shared with thousands of followers on the Bourke High School Facebook page, where it accumulated more than 35,000 views as of Sunday afternoon.
The video starts by students dedicating the song to 'anyone who is struggling', with the first line stating; 'keep your chin up, cuz, you're not in this alone.
