The competition has no concrete date set for a return to play, and that status looks set to continue in the absence of a directive from the state government that would let the competitions resume.
DDFA Secretary Manager Jim Auld said that a recent poll of the competition's clubs had been positive, but there aren't yet any clear answers of what the rest of 2020 will look like.

"We're getting a lot of positive response coming back, everyone wants to get started," Auld said.
"They're just not sure when they're going to be able to or in what capacity it's going to be in."
"We won't know what's going on until we get the head's up from the administration of health or the state government."
Auld said any date for sport to resume was still 'guesswork' until there was a change.
"There's been nothing concrete that's come out from the state government at all and we're bound by what the government says," Auld said.
"We don't know yet if when it returns there'll be further restrictions, it could be that the government reduces the crowd numbers for spectators that are allowed at our games, but we just don't know enough right now."
