A man has been charged after a replica handgun and cocaine were found by police.

About 7.40pm on Tuesday, police officers stopped a white Toyota Hilux on the Mitchell Highway at Geurie for the purpose of a random breath test.
The test returned a negative result but after further checks officers searched the vehicle, seizing cocaine and ammunition.
The 28-year-old man was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station.

Following further inquiries, officers executed search warrants at homes in Bultje and Argyle streets in Dubbo between 9.30pm and 10.55pm on Tuesday, where a replica handgun, a can of oleoresin capsicum spray and drug paraphernalia were seized.
The man has been charged with possess an unauthorised firearm, supply prohibited drug, and possess prohibited drug.
He has been bail refused to appear at Dubbo Local Court today.
