Now that a commencement date for the Rail Maintenance Facility, here in Dubbo has been announced, it is safe to consider that the project will actually happen as stated.
Since my arrival in Dubbo 42 years ago, this city has steadily but consistently, attracted new business and community facilities, becoming an attractive inland city in which to settle and live.
The Rail Maintenance Facility will not only further diversify the industry here, creating greater employment and business opportunities, but make the city less reliant upon any weather changes that appear.
All in all a most compatible addition to the sustained development of Dubbo, and this part of New South Wales.
(A happy long term resident)
