The prices of the season passes are included in Dubbo Regional Council's draft 2020/21 budget. The budget is about to go on public submission, allowing the public to give feedback.
But even before the public has commented, councillors are already looking at dropping the season passes.
For the recent swim season, a family season ticket to the Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre was $514. It's expected to be dropped to $250.

Meanwhile, an adult season pass will likely be $100, and children and pensioners should pay $70.
The costs for a three month ticket has also been cut.
Wellington prices will be cheaper than Dubbo and the Geurie prices even less.
The prices have been included in the draft budget, which will be up for discussion after the public exhibition period. However, the councillors have already shown their support.
Councillor Jane Diffey said she had been pushing for the pool costs to be reduced since last year after community feedback.
"Swimming is such an important life skill and our pools are community pools that the community should be able to afford," she said.
Cutting the prices showed council was listening, councillor David Grant said.
"The community has told us over the last 12 months that these fees were too high and we've listened here and we're putting this out to them for their review. Hopefully if they have any feedback they'll certainly tell us about it," he said.
The public can see the proposed pool prices in the draft budget on the Dubbo Regional Council website.
The public submission period will open on May 1.
