Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) data shows a total of 241 millimetres (mm) of rain has been collected in the automatic weather station at Dubbo City Regional Airport this year as of Thursday morning.
Total rainfall in 2019 was 211.2mm, making it the year with the least amount of rain since 1994.

The BoM reports that in the 24 hours to 9am on Thursday, 37mm of rain fell in Dubbo, taking the tally for March 2020 to 123.2mm of rain.
Average rainfall in Dubbo during the month of March is 60mm.
The record for the wettest March in Dubbo in the past 25 years belongs to 2017 with 223mm of rain.
March 2018 with 4mm of rain is the driest in the period.
Average annual rainfall in Dubbo since 1994 is 552.8mm.
While 2019 holds the record for lowest annual rainfall in the period, 2016 holds the record for the highest with 916.4mm.
