On Tuesday the government announced beauticians across the country were required to stop work as of midnight on Wednesday to try and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Beauty Secret Dubbo beauty therapist Lauren Barlow said she spent her last day of work on Wednesday trying to get as many clients in for her services as she could before she was forced to close.
Miss Barlow said depending on the length of time she is required to remain closed, she may not reopen her business.
"As of Thursday I won't have a beauty business," she said.
"It's hard because a lot of beauticians have clients booked in for months."
Miss Barlow said she believed the decision to close all beauty businesses was a "massive" one to make for the whole country.
Miss Barlow said having been given a bit more time for owners to organise their business would have also helped significantly.
The Beauty Secret Dubbo has a "small range" of products community members can still purchase but according to Miss Barlow, it would be hard to keep up with the demand if her supplier can't get the stock.
